Having been humbled by Portrush last weekend (NR) I enacted some revenge mid-week on the slightly more scoreable but cracking track, Murrayfield Golf Club in Edinburgh (69). Switching out my Ventus TR Blue 6X Driver shaft for the Ping Tour 2.0 Black 6.5X has brought me back to something resembling a one-way miss (right 👍) and dropping my Scotty Newport 2, which has been in the bag for near a decade, for a Spider Tour Mallet DB (freshly regripped) has given me cause for confidence on those shoogly 4 footers. NGL I’ve been thinking a LOT about getting fit for a L.A.B. putter; having published Rickie Fowler and Kevin Kisners WITBs this week, with both opting for the DF3, I’m becoming convinced this ghastly yet devastating technology represents a true breakthrough on the greens.
