Tommy Fleetwood WITB | Who is Tommy Fleetwood?

Thomas Paul Fleetwood was born in sunny Southport, England on the 19th January 1991. During his early years, he would stealthily venture onto the Royal Birkdale course alongside his father. Fast forward almost two decades to 2017, and he stunned the golfing world by making the cut at the Open Championship hosted back in his spiritual stomping ground at Royal Birkdale

In 2011, Tommy became the youngest ever player to win the European Challenge Tour Rankings at the age of 20 years and 290 days after an emphatic victory at the Kazakhstan Open - YEKSHEMESH!  He then went on to claim his first European Tour title at the 2013 Johnnie Walker Championship at Gleneagles, and made an astonishing run to end up inside the top 50 on the Race to Dubai for four consecutive seasons in a row, all before landing his second title in the Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship in 2017, where he managed to finish one shot clear of Dustin Johnson and Pablo Larrazábal.

WITB for Tommy Fleetwood at The Players Championship 2024

With that in mind, let’s take a look at WITB for Tommy for The Players Championship 2024, the only genuinely notable change of late being the switch away from the Titleist Vokey Design Wedgeworks T-grind 60 degree to the Titleist Vokey Design SM9 60 degree.

Aside from the 60 degree wedge, Tommy, like many of his counterparts, has switched over to the TaylorMade Qi10 LS driver (and 5-wood) but has notably made the addition of the TaylorMade BRNR Mini Driver into his bag over a 3-wood. He has been known to rock a 7-wood or a TaylorMade UDI 3-iron, but has recently switched this out for a TaylorMade P7TW 3-iron that reflects the rest of his irons. What’s interesting is that unlike many of his professional peers, he only has a two-wedge set-up. He finishes off the bag in style with an Odyssey White Hot Pro 3 putter and the TaylorMade TP5x Pix golf ball.
